The Pilates method of body conditioning represents a revolutionizing of age-old tried and tested techniques of achieving mental and physical fitness. Simply defined, the Pilates system is a reforming of the body’s neuro- muscular path development through a systematic method of controlled and concentrated movements designed to safely create tolerable resistance, strengthen and lengthen muscle tissue.
